The fireworks problem is about Junior varsity soccer team at Jefferson High and they had recently just won the championship. To celebrate the victory the school will be putting on a fireworks display. They are going to launch the fireworks at the top of the school tower. The director isn't worried about the cost but he is worried about the safety of the spectators and wants to know the timing mechanism that detonates the fireworks.
Process & Solution
When we first started this problem I liked the problem because we got to make our own bottle rockets and launch. But once we started getting into all the math it started to get hard and complicated so for a while I had mixed emotions about this problem but once you learn how to solve it just seems so much easier. But in the end all the little things I tired and my group as well help us get one step closer to solving the problem and finding the unknown peak/distance.
If I were to give my self a grade on this quadratic unit, I would give my self an A. I feel like I really did push through to solve for the answer even when I didn't know how to solve for it, some of my group members were going through the same thing and we would work to together and try to figure it out. This unit was challenging but if Mr.Carter didn't challenge us I would have never pushed my self to my full extent and what I'm capable of doing.
